Bartlett is just 1 of the many suburbs under the Boksburg umbrella on the East Rand of the greater Johannesburg region. Originally laid out to serve the gold mining towns around it, Boksburg began in 1887. For nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts purchasing land or a home in Bartlett, the Boksburg Hiking Club offers various safe hiking activities including overnight excursions and the Le Grange Bird Park is a must.
